A day in the life of a Slipper

The bright sun ray in the stillness of the morning progresses slowly, to enlighten the counters of her face, yet it goes unnoticed. The senses jump! Into motion as a false scene of her surrounding is induced. Lateness is the awareness and I go unnoticed.

Through the night was cold and being confined to the floor near the foot of the bed. The wooden material wanted to offer some warmth but the concentration of this warmth was repelled by the stern temperature of the tiles. Yet I wanted greetings.

My initial thoughts were, let me hide and let you feel the sternness of the tiles that weaken my structure all night long. Let it weaken your mobility and inhibit her progress as you attempt to make up for lost time. I thought by continuing to render my loyalty I will then be noticed, all her to jump right in to take the morning ride.

Before long I noticed that my ride was just temporal, when I was used to collect her “3” inch luxury ride and still not being noticed.

  1. i think this poem is a good one, the ability to bring to life a slipper and vividly show its life is a job well done.
